I’m Jonathan Tallon, and from November 2009 I have been the New Testament Tutor for NBLC, based at Luther King House in Manchester. Prior to this post I was in pastoral ministry for twelve years within the Church of England – the last eight as vicar in Cadishead, an urban village west of Manchester.
I have been involved in teaching the New Testament since 1998, through distance learning courses and also courses for those training for the ministry within the Church of England.
My own research area is examining how John Chrysostom (a fourth/fifth century bishop of Constantinople, now Istanbul) understood and preached on Paul’s letter to the Romans, focusing particularly on ‘faith’.
I am married to Ana, and have three children: Sophie and Lucy (twins) and Emily (three years younger). I enjoy films, reading, badminton, cricket and ski-ing.
